Martha Ann Hertelendi, 67, of Downers Grove, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18, 2014. Martha was born on Nov. 17, 1946 in Streator, IL. She was the daughter of the late Chester A. Long and Romaine C. Long, nee Tyrrell.  Martha was the loving mother of Jennifer and Heather (fiancee John Penczak) and cherished grandmother of Allie and Cameron Penczak. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael to whom she was married for 42 years.  Sister of the late Chester and Gary Long. Also survived by her sisters Linda (Jim) Poundstone of Grand Ridge, IL, Molly (Ron) Zigan of Chandler, AZ and a brother Byron (Debbie) Long, also of Grand Ridge, IL.  Aunt and cousin of many. Family was of utmost importance to Martha, she opened both her heart and home to all family and friends with an endless amount of love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation 3 to 8pm Thursday April 24th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301-75th Street, Downers Grove, where services will be held at 10:30am on Friday April 25th.
